Colleen Roberts, DVM, Director & Co-Founding Partner

My name is Dr. Colleen Roberts and I am a founding partner of Ally Pet Medical Center. Originally from West Seattle, I grew up with a small menagerie of dogs, rabbits, hamsters, other pocket pets as well as horses. I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian before I could even spell the word.

My first job in high school was as a kennel assistant in a busy small animal veterinary hospital in West Seattle. The doctors there encouraged and fostered my love of all things animals and medicine and confirmed veterinary medicine was where I was meant to be. I worked there through high school and undergraduate studies learning each position and role in the veterinary profession before pursuing veterinary school.

I attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and complete my clinical year at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama. While I loved my time in the south, the beautiful Pacific Northwest was calling me home.

In 2012 I returned to the Pacific Northwest and began practicing in a small animal clinic. My areas of professional interest include dermatology, endocrinology, dentistry and preventative medicine.

My husband Joe and I reside in the Sammamish area and share our home with our dogs Rauri, an Irish setter and Battle, a red-bone coonhound. As well as 2 kitties. We love taking advantage of all the area has to offer with our free time including camping, hiking and exploring with the dogs.

My lifelong dream of opening a veterinary practice is coming true and I am excited to open Ally Pet Medical Center in late September 2018. Our team is ecstatic to share our beautiful, high quality, family-run practice with the Sammamish community and work together to care for your pets!

Melissa Worland, DVM, Voted TopVets by SeattleMet Magazine

I grew up in Northern Illinois reading James Herriot stories, and adopting stray and injured animals in our neighborhood, always dreaming of becoming a veterinarian. I graduated from Rockford College in 1993 with a BA in biology and went on to attend the University of Illinois, earning my veterinary degree in 1997.

After my own positive experience with acupuncture, I decided to pursue additional training from Colorado State University and was certified in veterinary medical acupuncture in 2009.

I’m excited to be on your team at Ally Pet Medical Center to care for your beloved pets. I provide integrative therapies using both acupuncture and traditional veterinary medicine to treat pain and chronic diseases. My greatest reward is improving the quality of life for your pets as they age and extending the time you can spend together.

Outside work, I enjoy cooking, weight training, reading, gardening, and dreaming of our next DIY home improvement project. I share my home with my husband of 21 years, two teenage children, a goofy and loving pitbull, and our aging kitty.

Amy Sagona, DVM

I was born and raised in a small town on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Growing up I had always had a love for animals and my career started as a teenager working in my hometown veterinary clinic. I completed my undergraduate work at Virginia Tech and a Master's degree at Auburn University. From here, I returned to Virginia where I earned my Doctorate from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.

After completion of an internship in Ocala, Florida in 2011, I moved to the Seattle area where I truly feel at home. I live with my husband, Andy, our two human children, and the ruler of the house- our Yorkie, Ollie. Outside of the office, I enjoy home improvement projects and all things PNW including kayaking, hiking, camping, and traveling with my family.

I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Ally Pet Medical Center in helping to provide the best quality care for your four-legged family members. I enjoy the new and exciting cases each day brings and have special interests in the fields of preventive medicine, geriatric care, internal medicine, and dermatology. I look forward to partnering together with you on the care of your beloved pets and developing a relationship that will last for years to come.

Krysta Dawson, DVM

I am so excited to join the team at Ally Pet Medical Center! I grew up in Issaquah, WA and I have spent my life around animals for as long as I can remember. I started working in the veterinary field in 2012, beginning as a kennel attendant as I was working to become a veterinarian. I worked as a receptionist, kennel attendant, and assistant before graduating in April 2020, becoming a full-time small animal veterinarian. I completed both my Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2015, and my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, at Washington State University (go Cougs!). I enjoy working closely with pets and their people, and I am passionate about providing comprehensive and attentive companion animal medicine. My primary fields of interest include hospice care, preventive care, and internal medicine.

I grew up horseback riding and I have owned and loved dogs and cats all of my life. I currently have five pets of my own- two Pitbull mixes (Kiwi and Mango), a special needs Shih Tzu (Walter), a Persian cat (Lucy), and a horse (Lismore). In my spare time, I enjoy photography, drawing, exploring outside, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends!

Kathleen Gartner, DVM

I'm thrilled to be a part of the team at Ally Pet Medical Center here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I've had a passion for caring for animals since my early days working at a small animal clinic in Kansas City as a teenager. After moving to Texas, I dove into the Aggie spirit at Texas A&M University, earning my undergraduate degree and then my veterinary degree from Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine. My love for veterinary medicine has taken me around the world, including wildlife work in South Africa and a stint at a veterinary hospital in Barcelona, Spain. When I'm not at the clinic, I enjoy hitting the trails, trying new recipes, and traveling with my husband, Mario. And of course, going on walks with my rescue pup, Buzz.

I'm eager to bring my varied experiences and special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, and preventative care to Ally Pet Medical Center. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and contributing to their journey to better health and happiness with dedicated, compassionate care.

Vanessa, Licensed Veterinary Technician/Hospital Manager

I was born and raised in Alaska, where I grew up with an intense love for horses, despite not having much access to them! I attended college in Pennsylvania, where I received my B.S. in Large Animal Science and subsequently worked for many years in the equine industry. In 2013, I received my Veterinary Technician license and I have worked in small animal general practice since then. I am passionate about providing our loyal family pets with high-quality medicine and am excited to be a part of Ally Pet Medical Center, where I can continue to help provide excellent care to our furry companions. My current array of animals includes my horse Jazzy, a rescue Poodle mix named Muppet, and cat Denali. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my husband and son.

Maizie, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Hi there! I grew up in the beautiful bluegrass state of Kentucky where I rode horses for leisure and even worked as a dairy milker. It wasn't long after receiving my bachelor's in animal sciences from the University of Kentucky that I took off to go explore the northern states. I found myself in Alaska where I was able to jump start my career at a surgery focused clinic. During my time there I was blessed with the cutest brindle boxer, who unfortunately was injured and was in need of a new home. I explored Alaska for just over three years until my boyfriend and I decided to move to Washington state to pursue our long-term aspirations and goals. I am pumped to be a part of the team at Ally Pet and can't wait to meet you and your fur babies.

Kelley, Licensed Veterinary Technician

I spent most of my childhood in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and after getting my B.S. at the University of Wisconsin, I moved to Sammamish with my husband and dog in 2012. I worked in the veterinary field for a short time before becoming a rowing coach for seven years. I am so thrilled to be back in veterinary medicine as part of the Ally Pet family. I grew up with horses, dogs, and cats, and I have always loved helping people and their pets. I especially enjoy being part of the local community and creating relationships with our clients. I spend my free time camping, skiing, trail running, and exploring all the beautiful local hiking trails with my daughter and husband.
