Appointment Policy

Appointment Policy

Our goal is to provide quality, individualized medical care in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience others who need access to veterinary care. We ask that you respect our schedule and understand that medical care can be unpredictable.

-         We allow a 10-minute grace period for doctor’s appointments. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule.

-         If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we request you do so with at least 24 hours notice so that other patients can receive care.

-         Repeat no-shows or last-minute cancellations may require that we obtain a nonrefundable deposit to hold future doctor’s appointments.

Appointment Deposits

Some appointments may require a deposit at the time of booking:

-         New clients: there is a non-refundable deposit equal to the cost of the exam for new clients booking an appointment. The deposit will be applied to the first visit. The deposit is forfeited should the client cancel or no-show to the appointment.

-         Specialist Appointments: there is a $250 non-refundable deposit to book a specialist appointment (cardiology or radiology). The deposit will be deducted from the charges at the time of the appointment. The deposit is forfeited should the appointment be missed or cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment.

-         International Health Certificates: there is a non-refundable research fee for clients wishing to retain our services to aid with international travel. This fee is charged to cover the administrative and preparatory work undertaken by our team in advance of your appointment. Once the fee has been paid and the research done, initial travel consultations may be booked per the veterinarian’s direction.
